The planet Mars has always fascinated we earthlings and many dream of going there. I'm inspired by Elon Musk's aspirations and efforts. Although I don't want to go anywhere in a real rocket, I can still have fun with the idea by making my sand cast aluminum "Mars Rocket Coin Bank." Maybe if you save up enough coins in this bank it could be a down payment on your own rocket ride.
Like all my banks it is held together with one screw. When you remove the screw, the bank opens and your cash tumbles out. All of my work is made by hand in my studio foundry by myself and my helpers. If you follow me on Instagram, you will find additional photos of the bank in the process of being made.
The bank is cast aluminum with a small cast bronze finial on top.
